UAEJF History
Established in 1999 initially as a Wrestling Scoiety, the organization expanded its scope in 2003 to include Judo. Presently, Judo stands as one of the primary pursuits of the federation. The initiative received support from H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi Emirate.
To advance the popularity of Judo and Wrestling, the federation organizes numerous Training Camps and Local Championships, including events like the UAE Champions League and Ambassador’s Cup.
We have been receiving positive media coverage, both locally and internationally, for numerous events organized by our federation. Within the Federation, the development of sport has been remarkable, featuring a plethora of events, leagues, and championships held annually. Our senior Judo team actively participates in diverse training camps and prestigious international competitions such as the Grand Slam, Grand Prix, and World Championships across the globe. These events take place in various countries, including Japan, Germany, France, China, Uzbekistan, Russia, Canada and more.
